The inspiration behind the Compass Center lies in its meticulous attention to detail and the integration of design and construction. In the past, the separation of these two processes often resulted in low precision and quality. To overcome this challenge, the project invested significant time in meticulous planning and turning designs into reality, ensuring that the original quality demands were met.
What sets the Compass Center apart is its ability to fuse refined quality with Oriental philosophy, creating a tranquil oasis amidst the noise and prosperity of the city. It offers a space where people can reconnect with the essence of life and rediscover their passion for home. The design aims to harmonize people's inner minds with the outer space, providing a sense of balance and serenity.
The realization of the Compass Center involved the intensive processing of a large number of stones to showcase their natural textures. By applying Zen philosophy to the construction of a modern garden, the living area exudes a natural atmosphere that appeals to modern hermits. The centerpiece of the project is an over 10-meter-high art wall that recreates a leisurely and carefree ambiance. The lobby, built with nine kinds of famous stone, resembles a natural area enclosed by cliffs, creating a truly immersive experience.
The Compass Center offers a range of specifications to cater to different needs. The construction area of the quality houses ranges from 160 to 180 square meters, while the high-rise apartments range from 90 to 190 square meters. This diversity ensures that residents can find a space that suits their lifestyle and preferences.
Located in Shenzhen, China, the Compass Center is a testament to the successful integration of aesthetics, arts, and architecture. It strives to achieve a balance between the natural ecosystem and human culture, creating a place where prosperity and tranquility coexist harmoniously. The project showcases the rich natural landscapes of the area, surrounded by verdant mountains and embraced by streams.
The design of the Compass Center presented various challenges, particularly in working with natural stones. Each stone possesses unique patterns, textures, colors, and sizes, requiring careful consideration and delicate processing. The designer developed numerous schemes of stone mosaic, and the selected stones were processed with great precision to showcase their distinct textures. This attention to detail ensures that every piece of material embodies the aesthetics and craftsmanship that define the project.
The Compass Center has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life. The Compass Center stands as a testament to the successful integration of art, science, design, and technology, making it a truly remarkable space.
